42nd Annual National RVIA : Fleetwood RV Unveils New Lightweight Pegasus and Orbit at RVIA Show in Louisville, Kentucky

Aerodynamic Styling and Lightweight Design Appeals to New Generation of RV Buyers

RIVERSIDE, Calif., Nov. 30 -- Fleetwood RV, a leading producer of recreational vehicles, unveiled its new 2005 Pegasus and Orbit lightweight trailers. These innovative new travel trailers and fifth wheels are featured highlights at the 42nd Annual National RVIA tradeshow in Louisville, KY, November 30 -- December 2, 2004.

The exterior and interior styling on the 2005 Pegasus and Orbit come together to offer towable customers an exciting new lightweight product. The aerodynamic features of Pegasus and Orbit include a standard molded front cap, integrated LP tank cover, rear spoiler and full-length body skirting. Pegasus and Orbit feature colorful graphics that complement the streamlined design.

Fleetwood's new Pegasus and Orbit trailers were designed to maximize payload capacity. These products also address the customers' needs for lighter-weight trailers to be towed by a new generation of higher fuel economy SUVs and pickup trucks.

The 2005 Pegasus and Orbit also offer customers choices: with 16 different floor plans, three interior decors per model, and a host of options, RVers will have no problem finding what they need. Inside, the 2005 Pegasus and Orbit boast Fleetwood's SpacePlus(TM) environment features, with 80" ceiling heights and 92" interior widths. The interior complements the exterior design with curved shape countertops and stylized window valances. Special emphasis was placed on interior storage, including large overhead cabinets in the galley and bedroom and increased under-bed storage.

Exterior storage was enhanced by increasing the size of the pass-through storage compartments. Fleetwood's aluminum-framed and laminated sidewalls, lightweight floor, and new chassis construction yield an average 260 lb. weight reduction compared to Fleetwood's prior generation of ultra-lite trailers.

"Based on valuable customer feedback, the new line of Pegasus and Orbit travel trailers and fifth wheels will help expand Fleetwood's position as a leading innovator in the towable market," said Chris Braun, Executive Vice President of Fleetwood RV. "Our commitment to address the needs of the new generation of RV buyers was based on what we learned from the successful growth of the GearBox ASV products."
