SEMA 2004: Attractive StorageMax Rear Storage System Multiplies Available Space in SUVs, Minivans & Trucks

FREMONT, Ohio, Nov. 2, 2004 -- Families, sports enthusiasts and business people often share the common complaint of a lack of attractive storage in their vehicles. Now, the solution to that complaint is the StorageMax, an easy-to-install, durable but attractive auxiliary storage unit that fits most SUVs and some minivans.

The StorageMax is an organizer system for full- and mid-size SUVs that provides 10 inches of additional, hidden storage space in the vehicle's cargo area. In addition to storage space inside the unit, its construction permits other items to be stored on the top.

"StorageMax offers versatility and durability in cargo area storage," explained James Murphey, president of Techniform Molded Products. "Although it's easy to install and remove, I keep the StorageMax in my SUV all the time. I have a child on a traveling sports team, and I can now keep track of all the equipment and other items we need for our weekend outings.

"The StorageMax also doubles as a great file-keeper for all my business- related materials. But its lightweight construction makes it easy to remove when I need to use the third-row seats in my vehicle," Murphey said.

Constructed of high-impact composite material, the StorageMax features a permanent rigid canopy that allows items to be stored on the top, as well as inside. The system offers two entry points - from the top and through a sliding front draw. The StorageMax is available in two colors, and offers an original-equipment design at an aftermarket cost.

StorageMax is available in configurations for most SUV models, as well as some minivan models. A StorageMax version for pickup trucks will be introduced later in 2004.
