SEMA 2004: U.S. Army to Exhibit Quantum's Aggressor AMV Fuel Cell Vehicle at Show

IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 1, 2004 -- Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc., announced today that the U.S. Army TARDEC's NAC (Tank-Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center's National Automotive Center) will exhibit a high performance, fuel cell off-road vehicle at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas from November 2 -- 5, 2004. The "Quantum AMV(TM)" (Alternative Mobility Vehicle), nicknamed the "Aggressor," is a fuel cell vehicle designed and manufactured by Quantum at its California operations for the U.S. Army under contract with the NAC.

The Quantum Aggressor will be on display at the annual SEMA Show, the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world, to demonstrate several advanced technologies that have the potential dual use, that is, in both military and commercial applications.

After the SEMA show, the vehicle will commence testing and evaluation at military bases around the U.S. for a six-month period. Next summer, the vehicle will be on display at the Special Operations Forces Week and Advance Planning Briefing To Industry Conference (SOCOM-APBI) in Tampa Bay, Florida.

The Quantum Aggressor vehicle was unveiled last week at the annual meeting of the Association of the U.S. Army in Washington, DC, where it received a tremendous amount of attention from soldiers and military personnel from around the world.
