Detroit, MI October 27, 2004; Chevrolet has announced a five-year, 60,000 mile Powertrain Promise warranty on its all-new small car , the Chevrolet Cobalt, available in dealer showrooms this fall.

"We are excited about the introduction of the Cobalt this year, and by offering a 5/60 powertrain warranty, we're letting or customers know that they can feel secure in the value and quality of the product." said Brent Dewar, Chevrolet general manager.

Cobalt will be available through a nationwide network of more than 4,100 dealers. The car will be available in a coupe and sedan with six different trim levels. Additional accessories and performance packages will maximize customization options. Pricing for both the sedan and coupe begins at $14,190.

The powertrain warranty matches the warranty available with Chevrolet's other small car : the entry-level, subcompact Aveo. Introduced at the start of this year, the Aveo has already become the leader in the economy segment. Cobalt and Aveo give small car buyers a choice of great vehicles without compromising affordable convenience and functionality.
