Karl Brauer Named to North American Car and Truck of the Year Jury

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Oct. 26, 2004 -- Karl Brauer, Editor in Chief at Edmunds.com, (http://www.edmunds.com/), has been invited to serve on the North American Car and Truck of the Year Jury.

"With the rapid expansion of Internet information services, Edmunds.com has become a standout in providing opinions that are highly regarded by consumers and by the auto industry alike, and a fitting member of the North American Car and Truck of the Year jury. We are delighted that Karl Brauer and Edmunds.com accepted our invitation," said John Davis, a member of the awards' organizing committee and host of the public television series MotorWeek.

The jury consists of 50 top journalists from a variety of automotive media outlets in the United States and Canada. Through a conscientious process, the group selects the new vehicles that are named most noteworthy each January at the world-renowned North American International Auto Show held in Detroit.

"Being a member of this jury is a tremendous honor," remarked Brauer. "I'm excited to join some of the most-respected names in the business to identify the vehicles that are expected to have the most significant impact on the automotive industry."

Brauer joined Edmunds.com in July 1998 and became Editor in Chief in June 2001. Previously, he was employed by Petersen Publishing, where he wrote for magazines such as Hot Rod, Rod & Custom and Super Street.
