SnowGoer Magazine bestows annual award, calls the 2005 model M7 153 "a machine that will redefine mountain riders' expectations"

Arctic Cat Inc. today announced that its new M7 snowmobile was named 2005 "Snowmobile of the Year" by SnowGoer Magazine.

"We are proud to receive this coveted award from SnowGoer," said Christopher A. Twomey, chairman and chief executive officer of Arctic Cat. "With the all-new M7 mountain snowmobile, we have built a powerful, lightweight machine that delivers exceptional handling. It is our most exciting mountain sled yet. We're seeing high demand for the M7 from our dealers and customers."

According to SnowGoer: "The M7 153 represents a new level of mountain performance. The benchmark is set through a combination of ergonomics that create superior maneuverability, exclusive driveline technology and light weight. These features, paired with the sled's class-leading power have pushed the mountain segment forward and will raise the expectations of all snowmobilers."

The M7 snowmobile's new, lightweight chassis offers an unmatched power-to-weight ratio that improves handling and maneuverability in deep snow. The sled's batteryless electronic fuel injection technology enables easier starts and automatically compensates fuel mixture for high altitude. In addition, the redesigned cockpit and seating promote rider comfort and ease-of-use.
