Nissan enters hydrogen vehicle in China environmental car contest
BEIJING October 9, 2004; Japan Today reported that Nissan Motor Co said Friday it will enter a hydrogen-powered fuel cell vehicle in an international eco-friendly car contest next week in Shanghai as the vehicle's China debut.
The Japanese automaker will enter its X-Trail fuel cell vehicle in the Challenge Bibendum, a series of contests involving 80 vehicles and 100 companies. The six-year-old annual competition, sponsored by Michelin, tests vehicles for noise, emissions, energy efficiency, acceleration and handling. It runs from Tuesday to Thursday. (Kyodo News)
