GM Announces October 2004 "TruckFest"

Up to $6,000 on Most '04 SUVs; $2,500 on Many '05 Pickups

DETROIT - General Motors today announced its latest marketing program, "TruckFest," which runs from Oct. 1- Nov. 1, 2004. Qualified buyers who finance a new 2004 or 2005 GM truck or sport utility vehicle through GMAC are eligible to receive a bonus cash allowance of up to $1,500 in addition to available customer cash. For example, customers are offered cash allowances of up to $6,000 on most 2004 sport utility vehicles and up to $2,500 on many 2005 pickups. Qualified customers who lease a new 2004 or 2005 truck or SUV through GMAC are also eligible for bonus cash.

"GM sells more trucks and SUVs than any other manufacturer, and ‘TruckFest' is a GM program consumers really appreciate," said John Smith, group vice president, GM North America Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing. "As our new 2005 models arrive in dealers' showrooms, it's a great time to buy one of our industry-leading trucks or SUVs at an outstanding value. We have the broadest truck lineup around, including everything from the Chevrolet Equinox and TrailBlazer and GMC Envoy, to our full-size trucks such as the Chevrolet Silverado, Suburban and GMC Sierra. Combine these great products with the available customer cash and ‘TruckFest' bonus cash and we're offering consumers a truly unbeatable deal."

GMAC bonus cash varies by region and model and can be combined with many other current incentives. All GM divisions are participating in "TruckFest" except Cadillac, HUMMER and Saturn.

"TruckFest" will be supported by a national newspaper advertising campaign scheduled to begin on Oct. 1.

GM also is offering very attractive customer cash allowances and competitive APR rates on most 2004 and 2005 vehicles.
