Cadillac Announces Competitive Pricing For 2005 CTS

DETROIT Septrmber 29, 2004; Pricing for the Cadillac 2005 CTS luxury sedan starts at $30,695 (including a destination freight charge of $695) and can be ordered with the newly introduced 2.8L V6 VVT engine. The new engine, available in dealerships later this year, will provide 210 horsepower (156 kw) at 6500 rpm and 195 lb.-ft. (265 Nm) of torque at 3200 rpm.

The current 3.6L V6 VVT engine will remain an option for the 2005 CTS model year but will now offer a 6-speed manual as the base transmission. This engine will continue to offer drivers 255 horsepower (190 kw) at 6200 rpm and 252 lb.-ft. (342 Nm) of torque at 3200 rpm.

Both models include standard equipment such as a 6-speed manual transmission, rear-wheel drive, StabiliTrak Stability Enhancement System, dual climate control, six total airbags, a CD player and OnStar. Optional features on both models include a 5-speed automatic transmission, sunroof, Xenon high-intensity headlamps, DVD navigation and XM radio.
