Corzen Launches Auto Indicators to Measure Online Used Car Websites

AutoTrader leads in total used car postings online; Cars.com and Yahoo follow

NEW YORK, Sept. 24 -- Corzen (http://www.corzen.com/) announced today the launch of its Auto Indicators service, a timely measure of the number of used cars listed on competing online websites. Corzen measurements show AutoTrader with more than one million used cars listed for sale in the largest 100 US markets; Cars.com is second with 481,000, and Yahoo Autos is third with 216,000.

"The market for used car advertising is clearly migrating from traditional print media, such as newspapers, to online sites," said Bruce Murray, Corzen CEO. "Auto Indicators provides a weekly snapshot of used car advertising for leading online competitors nationally and in the 100 largest metropolitan areas."

In addition to measuring the number of used car listings online each week in 100 markets, Corzen's Auto Indicators also measures online cars listing for individual dealers in each market. In the New York City and Los Angeles metro areas, for instance, more than 2,000 individual dealers are using either one or a combination of the leading online used car sites. Corzen's Auto Indicators measures the share of each dealer's total used car listings with AutoTrader, Cars.com, Yahoo and Ebay.

The Auto Indicators service, like Corzen's Recruitment Indicators service, is available online to clients via subscription. Clients include both traditional and Internet-based media companies, financial analysts and other financial trading firms.
