Hella Xenon Lighting Technology on Display at Demo2004

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga.--Sept. 16, 2004--With its powerful xenon work lamps turning night into day, Hella is setting new standards for light performance, service life and design for heavy-duty forestry vehicles.

That advanced xenon technology will be showcased from Sept. 16 to 18 during Demo2004, North America's largest active demonstration of forestry equipment and products at Laval University's research forest north of Quebec City, Canada. Hella's rigorous heavy-duty work lamps and bulbs will be on display at site 21SB.

Xenon work lamps from Hella deliver outstanding performance under the most demanding conditions. The cutting-edge designs allow lights to be placed where they've never gone before. Precise placement results in brighter and more even illumination of the work area.

Examples include Hella's powerful Ultra Beam Xenon and Mega Beam Xenon with new fourth-generation ballast electronics, as well as the Oval 100 Xenon Integral. Designed for heavy-duty vehicles that work through the night, these all-new xenon work lamps provide 2.5 times greater light output than lamps using 55-watt halogen bulbs.

Durable Hella xenon lamps use an impact-proof light arc in place of a sensitive filament, which makes the danger of sudden light failure practically non-existent. Ballast electronics for these Hella products can be mounted at a sheltered spot inside the vehicle up to 10 feet from the lamp, providing even greater reliability.

Hella xenon lamps also consume 25 percent less energy and have a service life five times longer than halogen lamps. That advantage has enabled Hella to offer a compact, significantly smaller design size in the Oval 100 Xenon Integral. This makes light placement much easier, particularly in the case of exposed points on a vehicle, or in cases where a lamp replaces an existing halogen work lamp.
