Saxon Motorcycle Co. Announces Start of Operations

CASA GRANDE, Ariz.--Aug. 2, 20044, 2004--Representatives of Saxon Motorcycle Co. today proudly announced the start of manufacturing operations and the upcoming launch of their exciting 2005 model line.

With millions of viewers tuning in to television shows such as "American Chopper," "Monster Garage" and "Biker Build Off," custom American motorcycles, commonly referred to as "Choppers," have become one of the fastest growing segments of the motorcycle industry. Saxon Motorcycle Co., founded by four successful executives and motorcycle enthusiasts, was created to produce great-looking semi-custom motorcycles at a more reasonable price point than currently available and to apply professional management and production processes to a segment that is dominated by fragmented manufacturing practices.

Steven Seymoure, co-founder and chief executive officer, is excited about the upcoming launch of Saxon. "Since deciding to enter the motorcycle industry, our goal has been to build a company that offers stylish, high-quality products and unparalleled customer service. We seriously considered acquiring one or more of the established semi-custom manufacturers, but decided that we didn't want to inherit the challenges and issues facing some of the existing manufacturers. By carefully examining the industry, properly capitalizing and launching an entirely new brand, we'll be able to start off on the right foot and quickly grow into a dominant force."

Saxon will operate out of a modern 40,000-square-foot manufacturing facility on 9 acres in Casa Grande, Ariz.

Jerry Petty, co-founder and chief operating officer, is confident that Saxon will be able to meet its production goals of 650 and 1,000 for 2005 and 2006 while maintaining its high-quality standards. "Utilizing team-based assembly, a dedicated quality control team and modern manufacturing systems, we will be able to scale our operations while maintaining the visibility and accountability required to ensure our long-term success."

The stunning 2005 Saxon Motorcycle line will be priced starting at $21,995 and consist of six models: two choppers, two pro-streets, a beach cruiser and a sport classic. All of the models include S&S engines, six-speed transmissions, suspension frames and fat 240 rear tires. The team utilized two award-winning designers to create the line, which will be officially launched later this month and sold through a group of elite dealers nationwide. Prototypes of the models have already won several regional bike shows and received tremendous feedback from consumers. In addition to motorcycles, the team announced its plan to introduce a branded apparel and accessories line early this fall.

Mike O'Brien, co-founder and executive vice president of marketing, believes that Saxon presents a significant opportunity to build a quality, American lifestyle brand. "American Motorcycle enthusiasts are looking for alternatives. Saxon Motorcycles will provide the individuality and exclusivity riders are looking for. We intend to take great care of our customers and provide them with a tremendous opportunity to become part of a developing community."

Saxon Motorcycle Co. is a subsidiary of RPM Holdings Group, LLC.
