Delphi to Reach 1 Million Portable Satellite Receivers Sold

June Milestone gives Delphi 2.6 million total satellite radio receivers sold

TROY, Mich., May 18 -- Delphi Corp. announced today it expects to reach the 1 million mark in sales of portable satellite radio receivers to retailers this June, covering both the Delphi XM SKYFi and Roady products. This milestone will bring Delphi's total receivers sold next month to 2.6 million, including original equipment radios.

"This is a tremendous milestone for Delphi as we establish ourselves as a market leader in the plug-and-play satellite radio arena," said Francisco A. (Frank) Ordonez, president, Delphi Product & Service Solutions and vice president, Delphi Corporation. "Delphi is already a leader in satellite radio as three out of every four satellite radio listeners are listening on Delphi hardware," added Ordonez.

Both Roady and SKYFi continue to be recognized with industry awards and endorsements.

In addition to being named Best Product for 2003 by Business Week, Roady was also recently named Best Cool Stuff by Reader's Digest. Also, the SKYFi Audio System was named PC Magazine's last gadget standing and received multiple honors for technical innovation at the International Consumer Electronics Show.

The Delphi XM SKYFi and Roady receivers are the top-selling satellite radios in their category. The new Delphi CD Audio System and the original Delphi Audio System -- both firsts in the portable satellite radio market -- continue to drive additional receiver sales. The Delphi Audio System was the industry's first completely portable satellite radio, allowing listeners to take XM Radio on the go. The new Delphi CD Audio System is the industry's first "all-in-one" XM Radio offering a CD/CDR/MP3 player and AM/FM tuner all integrated into one attractive, convenient package. Recently, Rolling Stone magazine reviewed the unit and wrote, "This may not be the first satellite radio boom box, but it's the first one that makes sense" (May 2004).

Delphi has been a leader in providing radio technology for the vehicle since it introduced the first in dash radio in 1936. Since then, Delphi has been the first to reach several milestones in satellite technology, including the first to bring satellite radio into the vehicle, the first to market with a factory-installed satellite radio receiver and the first to market with a fully portable consumer satellite system.
