Tokyo, Japan, Apr. 23, 2004 - (JCN Newswire) - Mazda Motor Corporation
is pleased to introduce the upgraded "Mazda Demio" compact
car with reduced exhaust emissions and improved fuel economy, and has
begun offering it for sale today in Japan nationwide.

Certified as a Super Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle (SU-LEV)-achieving the
75% reduction level under the 2005 exhaust emission regulations, the
Demio boasts its improved emissions. The better fuel economy is another
breakthrough, which attains the "2010 +5% fuel economy standards,"
letting the user receive tax reductions under the new Green Taxation of
Japan.

Among highlights are the revised catalogue model lineup and the
increased options, which help the user easily select/arrange one's own
model. These enhancements do not affect the pricing.
