Mark Armstrong to Retire From Cooper Tire & Rubber Company

FINDLAY, Ohio, April 13 -- Cooper Tire & Rubber Company announced today that after 26 years of loyal and dedicated service, Mark Armstrong has elected to retire from his position as Vice President of the Company. "Mark's contributions to Cooper Tire have been crucial in the development and implementation of our Cooper 21 strategy and providing direction for the tire group. Mark's leadership in sales and marketing has helped Cooper grow market share, successfully enter the ultra high performance market and continue our envied position as an industry-leader in customer service and dealer relationships," said Chairman, President and CEO, Tom Dattilo.

Mark joined Cooper as a territory manager in the Eastern Region and he subsequently served in numerous positions in sales and marketing until his most recent promotion to Executive Vice President of the Tire Group, responsible for sales and marketing for our global tire operations.

Mark's departure from the office will be at the end of May; however, in the interim, he will report directly to Tom Dattilo and assist with strategic planning and identifying tactics to capitalize on our global opportunities.
