Limited Edition T-Bird is a Californian Collectible 2004 Thunderbird Offers New Palette of Colors

Ford will produce 1,000 limited edition 2004 Thunderbird Pacific Coast Roadster models. DEARBORN, Mich. – A warm breeze teases your hair. The smell of the ocean surrounds you. The scenery might be some of the most beautiful you've ever seen. You're coasting down California's Highway 101 – the Pacific Coast Highway – and you're in a brand-new, limited edition 2004 Thunderbird Pacific Coast Roadster.

Not bad.

For the 2004 model year, Ford Motor Company is producing 1,000 Roadster T-Birds for sale worldwide. Colored in Monterey Mist Green, Ford's new Roadster recalls the misty Monterey Peninsula area.

"Our designers were inspired by the Pacific Coast Highway," says Andy Jacobson, assistant marketing manager, Ford Thunderbird. “The Monterey Mist Green exterior paint color recalls the feeling of the West Coast. It really does remind you of Carmel and Monterey."

The limited edition T-Bird is available with a light ash convertible top or an ash metallic removable top. Monterey Mist Green accents brighten its 17-inch, 16-spoke aluminum wheels, and inside, a two-tone light and dark ash scheme with metallic appliqués dresses the center stack, shifter bezel and cream-colored instrument cluster.

Vintage Mint Green (top) and Merlot are two new collectible colors for 2004. Starting at $43,995, the Thunderbird Pacific Coast Roadster will have its official debut at the North American International Auto Show in January.

The standard T-Bird also is back for 2004 with the same great styling you'd expect, as well as those additional surprise and delights you look forward to in a new model year, including new colors.

Platinum Silver replaces white as a base color on the '04 Thunderbird. Merlot and Vintage Mint Green are new collectible colors, and inside, the T-Bird's interior gets a facelift with a new Light Sand appearance package and newly styled seats with leather seating surfaces.

"When you get inside the T-Bird, and drop the top to take a cruise down the boulevard, people just turn their heads time after time," says Paul Russell, marketing manager, Ford Thunderbird. "They want to check you out, know who you are. The car is amazing in that way."
