Andy Warhol's 'Cars' and Other Contemporary Art at the DaimlerChrysler 'On the Edge' Exhibition at the DIA

  - Chrysler Group sponsors the educational visits of more than 25 schools
    from Oakland, Wayne and Macomb County
  - Detroit artist Gilda Snowden will provide a brief lecture to the high
    school students

WHAT: Approximately 100 high school students from metro Detroit will visit the DaimlerChrysler "On the Edge" corporate art collection at the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) and view the "Cars" series by Andy Warhol as well as works by other contemporary artists.

The students will be available for interviews and photo opportunities.

"On the Edge" is a part of DaimlerChrysler's corporate art collection. The exhibition features 150 works by approximately 80 artists. The DIA is the only U.S. stop on the "On the Edge" tour.

The DaimlerChrysler Corporation Fund (DCCF) will sponsor more than 25 schools from Oakland, Wayne and Macomb Counties and provide transportation and lunch for the students.
