Motor Trend Auto Shows, Inc. Adds Two New Shows to 2004 Season Lineup

NEW YORK, Sept. 3 -- The nation's largest auto show producer, Motor Trend Auto Shows, Inc. (MTAS), is pleased to announce the addition of two new auto shows to the season lineup. The San Jose International Auto Show in San Jose, Calif., and the Iowa-Illinois Regional Auto Show in Davenport, Iowa have signed production agreements to have their auto shows produced by MTAS for the upcoming 2004 model-year season. MTAS now produces a total of 17 new model auto shows.

"We are very pleased to be adding these shows to our family of first-class events," said John Marriott, Motor Trend Auto Shows, Inc. general manager. "Not only have we retained 100 percent of our existing auto show production business, but now we are adding two new shows to our schedule. These shows add geographic breadth to our schedule, which allows us to offer even better sponsorship opportunities to national advertisers seeking on-site presence in automotive markets across the United States."

Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, the San Jose International Auto Show will be held January 7 - 11, 2004 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center. The show is presented by the 73-member Silicon Valley Auto Dealers Association and the Mercury News. MTAS will work with the San Jose auto show committee on key goals such as strategic marketing, enhanced publicity and promotional programs. Located in the heart of California's number-one car market, the San Jose International Auto Show will celebrate its 10th anniversary this year. Additionally, the show will host its annual preview gala, providing a VIP sneak peek of the show to benefit local charities, prior to the public opening.

The Iowa-Illinois Regional Auto Show will be held February 6 - 8, 2004 at the RiverCenter in Davenport. The event is a joint effort of the 125 dealers of the Quad City area of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois, and the local Scott County (Iowa) and Rock Island County (Illinois) Dealer Associations. The show, which is sponsored by the Quad-City Times and Moline Dispatch Publishing Company, will continue its program of funding scholarships to benefit graduating high school seniors who are related to employees of new car dealerships in the 18-county area.
