PRIMEDIA Awarded Integrated Advertising Campaign by Ford Motor Company

Ford's 2004 F-150 Launch to Use Reach and Targeting of PRIMEDIA's Consumer Automotive Group, Automotive Enthusiast Group and Outdoor Enthusiast Group

Campaign to Include Print, Web and Custom Auto Show Vehicles Throughout 2003 and 2004

NEW YORK, Aug. 29 -- PRIMEDIA Inc. , the leading targeted media company, announced today that it has been awarded an advertising and marketing contract from Ford Motor Company for the launch of the 2004 Ford F-150 pickup.

As part of its launch campaign, Ford will capitalize on PRIMEDIA's leadership positions with consumers in the automotive and outdoor markets through a unique range of print, Internet and special event marketing platforms in its Consumer Automotive Group titles including Motor Trend, Truck Trend and Automobile; its Automotive Enthusiast Group titles including Hot Rod, Four Wheeler, Four Wheel & Off Road, Truckin', Stock Car Racing and Circle Track; and its Outdoor Group titles including Hunting, Guns & Ammo and In Fisherman. Ford's campaign will include more than 100 advertising pages across all groups. PRIMEDIA will also produce a number of special high-impact print gatefold units and a series of F-150 custom display trucks that will be built by magazine staff members and displayed at selected Motor Trend and enthusiast auto shows throughout 2003 and 2004.

PRIMEDIA's F-150 Action Plan was developed in partnership with Ford, its advertising agency J Walter Thompson, and the advertising and marketing teams from PRIMEDIA's Consumer Automotive, Automotive Enthusiast and Outdoor Groups. Ford Motor Company, celebrating its centennial anniversary this year, is launching the 2004 F-150 in fall 2003.
