WHAT: American Suzuki welcomes the arrival of the first shipment of the all-new Verona midsize sedans into Port Hueneme, Calif. The cars are the first of nine new models to be introduced in the next five years as the cornerstone of Suzuki's plan to triple sales by 2007.

The arrival comes after a federal court this week denied Daewoo Motor America (DMA)'s request for a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) seeking to prohibit GM and Suzuki from importing and distributing in the U.S. cars bought from GMDAT.
