Mitsubishi Motors launches Smartnav as an approved accessory across their entire UK model range

London, July 9 -- Mitsubishi Motors has announced that it will be offering Smartnav, the latest innovation in satellite navigation, as an approved accessory across its entire UK model range.

Smartnav, by Trafficmaster, is an advanced navigation system that guides you around the jams using Trafficmaster's unique live, incident, historic and predictive traffic data. It is extremely easy to use, does not require any updating by the customer and costs around one half of the price of other navigation systems.

Mitsubishi sold over 26,000 cars in the UK last year and has over 1% of the UK's market share. Smartnav combines navigation with other key motoring services, such as an Emergency and Breakdown feature, Safe Speed - which alerts drivers to zones monitored by safety cameras and Stolen Vehicle Location - a service that pinpoints the location of a stolen vehicle and tracks it until it is safely recovered. The combination of these features differentiates Smartnav from other systems on the market and means it appeals to an increasingly broad range of customers.

Priced at just £524, Smartnav is available to Mitsubishi customers through its 140 UK dealerships from July 1st.

Smartnav represents a major advance in satellite navigation, combining mobile telephony technology developed by Trafficmaster and Motorola, personal assistant support and traffic information taken from Trafficmaster's established network of sensors and cameras that cover over 8,000 miles of the UK's main roads.
