MANN+HUMMEL Merges Two of its U.S. Divisions

PORTAGE, Mich., May 1 -- MANN+HUMMEL announced today that two of its U.S. based companies will be merged into a single company, MANN+HUMMEL USA, INC., and based in Portage, Michigan.

The merger of MANN+HUMMEL FILTER TECHNOLOGY, INC. of Greensboro, North Carolina, and MANN+HUMMEL AUTOMOTIVE, INC. of Portage, will unite the company's U.S. based automotive and industrial filtration operations.

MANN+HUMMEL USA, INC. will have combined sales of nearly $110 million and employ approximately 425 people at five locations throughout the U.S. The company expects its U.S. sales to double by 2010.

The industrial operation sells and distributes a wide range of industrial filtration products to off-highway OEMs, system manufacturers and the aftermarket sector throughout North America for filter applications including air compressors, vacuum pumps, EDM, construction and agricultural machinery and specialty applications. The company also manufactures air-oil separators at the Greensboro facility for the domestic and export markets.

The automotive operation designs and manufactures automotive component- related products, including air filter systems, intake manifolds, oil and fuel modules and filter elements for all major North American and European OEMs, as well as most Asian car manufacturers.

Mathieu becomes president and CEO of the combined MANN+HUMMEL USA, INC. Ulrich Jahncke, former president of MANN+HUMMEL FILTER TECHNOLOGY, INC., will report to Mathieu as the company's director of industrial filtration based at the Greensboro facility.
