Baltimore City Mayor's Parade Cadillac Convertible To Be Sold

    BALTIMORE--April 3, 2003--A 1967 Cadillac Convertible used by former Mayor William Donald Shaffer as a parade car will be sold at public auction to the highest bidder.
    On April 5th, at the Howard County Fairgrounds a 1967 Cadillac Convertible with approx 20,000 miles. Used over the years by the Mayor of Baltimore City as a parade car will be sold along with other collectable cars at a classic car auction starting at 10:30 A.M.
    The 1967 Cadillac was kept in the garage by the city until needed for a parade. The car was ordered sold as part of the City's Fleet Reduction Program.
    Express Auction Marketing, who currently has the City's Auctioneering Services Contract will sell the Car Saturday, April 5th at the Collector Car Auction. Larry Makowski, President stated "We have been doing Collector Car Auction for the past 5 years at Howard County Fairgrounds and felt this would be the best place to sell this special car. Along with the Mayor's parade car we are selling collector cars for estates, financial institutions and private individuals.
