Thor Wins $17 Million Recreation Vehicle Order; Retail RV Sales Up In Last Two Months

JACKSON CENTER, Ohio, April 1 -- Thor Industries, Inc. announced today that it had received an initial order for 375 Class C motor homes totaling approximately $17 million from Cruise America, Inc., the largest RV rental operator. The order will be shipped primarily in May and June by Thor's Four Winds division.

Retail sales of Thor recreation vehicles in February and March, based on warranty registrations received from consumers, were up 17% and 15% respectively.

Thor also announced that it was selected by BusinessWeek as one of the best performing companies in the Standard and Poor's Small Cap 600 index based on one and three-year market performance.

Thor is the largest unit manufacturer of recreation vehicles and the largest builder of mid-size buses.
