Eric Bostrom Posts Top Time at AMA Test Session at Infineon Raceway SONOMA, Calif. (IMMEDIATE RELEASE) ¯ Kawasaki¢s Eric Bostrom posted the fastest time during a one-day test session on Thursday at Infineon Raceway for riders on the AMA U.S. Chevy Trucks Superbike Championship Series. Bostrom ran a lap around the redesigned 12-turn, 2-mile circuit at 1 minute, 38.05 seconds aboard his ZX-7RR to top all Superbike riders, while Yamaha's Damon Buckmaster led Formula Xtreme riders (1:38.60). Jake Zemke (Erion Honda) was tops for Supersport (1:40.19). Eight teams, including factory teams Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha, and 19 riders participated in the one-day test session in advance of the AMA Supercuts Superbike Challenge, presented by Honda of Milpitas, May 2-4 at Infineon Raceway. Riders tested three new portions of track at Turns 1, 8-10 and 11 designed to address rider concerns. Most riders agreed that those who tested will be at a huge advantage when the series visits the Sonoma Valley in May. *The guys who didn¢t test are going to be at a big disadvantage, that¢s for sure,* said Yamaha rider Jason DiSalvo. *Suzuki is especially going to be behind to start the weekend.* *We worked on our gear box all day because that affects everything we do on the course,* said Honda¢s Ben Bostrom. *It was a good day for us and we¢ll be ready when we come back here in May.* Rounding out the top five in times behind Eric Bostrom and Buckmaster were: Kurtis Roberts (Erion Honda) 1:38.62, Jamie Hacking (Yamaha) 1:38.75 and Miguel Duhamel (Honda) 1:38.80.
