Dorricott Racing Preview - Monterrey

DORRICOTT RACING BEGINS TO DEFEND ITS TOYOTA ATLANTIC TITLE
                THIS WEEKEND IN MONTERREY, MEXICO

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (March 20, 2003) - Luis Diaz, of Mexico City,
is not only a favorite to win the 2003 Toyota Atlantic Championship, he is
also the "home country" driver of choice when the Toyota Atlantic
Championship opens its 12-race season this weekend at the Tecate/Telmex
Monterrey Grand Prix

The 32 lap/67.2 mile opening round of the 2003 Toyota Atlantic
Championship will be around the challenging 2.104-mile, 12-turn street
circuit in Monterrey's Fundidora Park. It is scheduled to begin at 10:30
a.m. (CT), Sunday, March 23, and is the featured support race to the
Bridgestone Presents The Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford
Tecate/Telmex Monterrey Grand Prix later that day.

Diaz, who will drive the No. 33 Telmex Swift .014a, is the second
highest finishing Atlantic driver in 2002 that is returning to the Atlantic
Championship. Diaz finished fourth place with pole positions at Monterrey
and Portland, victories at Portland and Road America, and 124 points.

Diaz's race at Monterrey last year was eventful with him holding
positions ranging from the lead to dropping as low as eighth place. When
the race was complete, Diaz prevailed through a pounding rain storm to
finish in fifth place and collect a $1,000 bonus for winning the pole.

2002 had its complement of "up's and down's." However, among Diaz's
his most memorable moments was when he made his Champ Car debut with
Fernandez Racing at the 2002 CART season finale - the Gran Premio
Telmex-Gigante - in Mexico City. Unfortunately, after submitting strong
times in practice and qualifying, he failed to finish the race due to a
mechanical breakdown on the opening lap.

pee Channel will provide a LIVE telecast of the Monterrey Toyota
Atlantic Championship race from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ET (8:30 a.m. to
9:30 a.m. PT), Sunday, March 23.
