XSCi's PIONEERED Airbag Compatible Infant Seat Proves Compliant with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards

INDIANAPOLIS--March 3, 2003--The PIONEERED(TM) Airbag Compatible Infant Seat was independently tested by the world-renowned CAPE test facility where the seat proved compliance with the new standards established by the National Highway Safety Administration (NHTSA) effective in September 2004.
The New Federal Motor Vehicle Standard (FMVSS-213) introduces biomechanical parameters to the safety requirements of child restraints.
The PIONEERED(TM) Seat performed well within the 2004: FMVSS-213, using the standard test setup as described in the government specification. Not only that, other tests were performed within the FMVSS-213 guidelines, such as tests in which the PIONEERED(TM) Seat functioned well within the new standard in front of a deploying airbag.
Replicating real world environment, the seat was tested and passed the new standard in front of a barrier to simulate the back of a front seat, or a console, for infants placed in the back seat; and a dash, for infants in the front seat of a vehicle without an airbag, or with a switch to turn the airbag off.
Based on tests at CAPE, MGA, and elsewhere, the PIONEERED(TM) Airbag Compatible Infant Seat, unlike any other seat on the market according to XSCi, passed this entire set of tests, airbag, barrier, and standard, well within the new FMVSS-213 parameters.
The Pioneered(TM) Seat is available at The Right Start and other juvenile product outlets. Contact: Sharon Harnisch at 719/593-8881.
