GARDENA, Calif. February 3, 2003; Dow Jones reported that Nissan North America Inc. reported January vehicle sales rose 1.2% to 55,209 units from 54,534 a year ago, helped by sharp sales gains in the Infiniti division.

In a press release Monday, Nissan North America, which includes Infiniti and Nissan brand operations, said total U.S. truck sales fell 14.2% to 16,923 units from 19,732 a year ago.

American Depositary Shares of Nissan Motor Co. traded up 20 cents, or 1.3%, to $15.50 Monday, on Nasdaq volume of 94,200. Average daily volume is 205,061 shares.
