Celebs Race for the Checkered Flag at the Cadillac Super Bowl Grand Prix

Leeann Tweeden earns $15,000 for the National Breast Cancer Organization
Jamie Foxx and David Arquette were close behind

San Diego, CA January 25, 2003;– Celebrities jumped behind the wheels of SuperKarts and took to the track in a wheel-to-wheel competition for charity in the Cadillac Super Bowl Grand Prix.

Leeann Tweeden (host, “Best Damn Sports Show…Period”), Ashton Kutcher, Wayne Brady, Jamie Foxx, David Arquette, Evan Marriott (“Joe Millionaire”), Vivica A. Fox, Jerry O’Connell, Anthony Anderson, Adam Rodriguez (“CSI: Miami”), Jessica Alba, Boris Kodjoe, Vince Vaughn, Kelly Hu, Cole Hauser (“White Oleander”) and athletes Donovan McNabb and Terry Kirby revved their engines in a fierce competition around the track as fans such as Brittany Murphy cheered on.

The parking lot adjacent to San Diego’s new W Hotel was transformed into a virtual raceway for the event. Each celebrity operated a SuperKart, go-karts specifically designed for racing, powered by two, six horsepower engines (allowing speeds up to 70 miles per hour) that offer amazing high performance driving. A team of expert racing specialists from the Bob Boundurant School of High Performance Driving was on hand to take the celebrities through the safety and on-track training regulations prior to the official race.

Cadillac was proud to present Leeann Tweeden $15,000 which will be donated to her charity, the National Breast Cancer Organization; $7,500 to Jamie Foxx which will be donated to Laffapalooza; and $2,500 to David Arquette which will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
