AAA's Nonalcoholic Drink Recipes Can Help Keep Super Bowl Parties Sober

DEARBORN, Mich., Jan. 20, 2003; Super Bowl Sunday (January 26) will be "Party Sunday" for millions of Americans.

Alcohol flowing freely always increases the danger that some celebrants might imbibe too much and become too alcohol-impaired to drive safely.

For Super Bowl party hosts who want to offer their guests nonalcoholic beverage options, AAA Michigan offers free copies of The Great Pretenders Party Guide, a colorful booklet with 16 recipes for nonalcoholic party drinks. The booklet also has recipes for three fancy snacks that can be tasty additions to the party menu. All the recipes are from chefs and beverage managers at AAA Diamond-rated restaurants and hotels in the Midwest.

In addition to the recipes, the booklet offers tips to help hosts keep alcohol consumption at a moderate level and suggestions for dealing with any guests who should not get behind the wheel.

Free copies of The Great Pretenders Party Guide are available at any AAA branch office or by telephone at toll-free 1-800-AAA-MICH (222-6424). To download the recipes from the Internet, go to www.aaamich.com , click on Press Releases, then on Top Story, then on The Great Pretenders Party Guide.
