Nevada Tourism Awards Luxury Motorhome To Winner of 2002 RV Adventure Sweepstakes

RENO, Nev., Dec. 9, 2002; Art Trujillo is the grand prize winner of the Nevada Commission on Tourism's (NCOT) 2002 Nevada RV Adventure Sweepstakes and will return to his Cloverdale, Calif., home in a new Winnebago Brave, Lt. Gov. Lorraine Hunt, announced today.

"Nevada is the most mountainous state and RV travelers are intrigued with the outdoor recreation, amazing scenic highways and byways, and beautiful parks," Hunt, NCOT chair, said at the 19TH Annual Governor's Conference on Tourism. "Mr. Trujillo is one of more than 17,500 people who entered the sweepstakes to win an RV at our participating state and RV parks, chambers of commerce and visitor centers. We wish him well as he plans future trips throughout Nevada."

With more Americans choosing to travel by RV, Nevada is the premier destination for a memorable road trip. From ghost towns to gold mines and hot springs to heli-skiing, Nevada offers RV travelers the freedom to enjoy all that the state has to offer.

"What a pleasant surprise! This is a windfall from the Nevada skies," Trujillo said. The 65-year-old elementary school psychologist entered the sweepstakes at the Lake Tahoe Incline Village & Crystal Bay Visitors Bureau.

NCOT launched the three-year sweepstakes in January 2001 and will initiate the 2003 event Jan. 18, offering a new Winnebago Sightseer as grand prize.

The commission promotes Nevada as a desirable RV destination at trade shows, in RV and travel publications and on radio in key markets.
