WHY: American Suzuki Motor Corp. (ASMC) is the first-ever
"presenting" sponsor of the Heisman Memorial Trophy
by its Automotive, Motorcycle and Marine divisions.
2002 marks the fourth year ASMC has partnered with
the Heisman Trophy and the Downtown Athletic Club
(DAC), which created and annually presents the
                  Heisman Trophy Award.

Suzuki also established www.voteheisman.com to allow
fans to cast an official counted vote in this year's
Heisman race and to check how players rank in the
fan balloting. Different than other Heisman Web
sites, www.voteheisman.com is the only opportunity
for the public to cast an official Heisman vote. All
other sites only offer fan polls.
