Valence Technology Announces Release Date for Second Quarter 2003

    AUSTIN, Texas--Oct. 30, 2002--Valence Technology Inc. , a leader in the development and commercialization of Saphion(tm) technology and Lithium-ion polymer rechargeable batteries, today announced that it will release its second quarter operating results after the market closes on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002.
    The company announced that it will conduct a conference call on Nov. 13, 2002 at 5:00 p.m. EDT (2:00 p.m. PDT) to discuss the results. The broadcast will be hosted on the company's Web site located at www.valence.com. Participants should allow approximately fifteen minutes prior to the call's start time to visit the site and download any streaming media software needed to listen to the Internet broadcast. An online archive of the broadcast will be available approximately four hours following the live call and will remain available for 30 days.
