COLOGNE, Germany, Sept. 23, 2002 - Visteon Corporation has contributed engineering, systems and components for the latest Ford model, the StreetKa, launched at this month's Paris Motor Show.

The Ford StreetKa is a small convertible roadster, based on the successful two-door Ka model. It offers classic open-air fun in a desirable, stylish, contemporary and high quality yet affordable two-seater package. Developed to define a new market sector for Ford, the chic two-door roadster will appeal to young singles or couples starting-out. Visteon has enhanced and refined the visual components and systems to ensure that they blend with the exciting "look" of this new model.

The instrument panel and cluster have been developed and styled to pick up on the design cues from the StreetKa's interior. The distinctive cosmos grey finished cluster has clear, attractive and easy-to-read graphic displays. The panel and cluster design will also be shared with the latest Ka saloon models.

Visteon's expertise in multi-media system design is reflected in the StreetKa's integrated sound system. This includes speakers and antenna, as well as the radio/CD and new dash mounted six-stack CD unit, both with color- matched bezels.

Visteon is a leader in developing climate control systems. The air- conditioning unit supplied for the StreetKa incorporates all the latest technology and like the other interior components, features color-coded control bezels and silver air vents. Visteon also engineered the cooling pack assemblies, which are also specially painted to enhance appearance and are found in the StreetKa's engine cooling system.

In the area of chassis, Visteon developed and supplied steering systems for left- and right-hand drive models, plus driveshafts and selected components for corner modules. Finally, Visteon used its powertrain expertise to engineer the StreetKa's alternator, fuel delivery components and air cleaner units.

Visteon is also a major supplier on another new Ford model to be displayed at the Paris Show -- the Ford Fusion. "The urban activity car" contains about 50 major systems and components supplied by Visteon for the new Ford Fiesta launched at last year's Frankfurt Motor Show.

The level of systems and components supplied to Ford for two important new models reinforces Visteon's commitment to delivering fully integrated technologies to match customer strategies for developing affordable, dependable, efficient and stylish models for today's demanding global markets.

Visteon Corporation is a leading full-service supplier that delivers consumer-driven technology solutions to automotive manufacturers worldwide and through multiple channels within the global automotive aftermarket.
