SEMA Show Launches Performance Marine Pavilion

SEMA SHOW LAUNCHES PERFORMANCE MARINE PAVILION

DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (Aug. 21, 2002) - The boats are coming to the 2002 SEMA Show
scheduled for landlocked Las Vegas from Tuesday, Nov. 5, through Friday, Nov. 8.
But rather than floating in, these water vehicles will come to Las Vegas towed
behind a SEMA-type truck or SUV.

"For years, our exhibitors have seen their marine segment customers at our SEMA
Shows. These men and women do business at our show as part of our buyer mix," said
Peter MacGillivray, SEMA vice president of sales and marketing. "This year, we have
added some more segment-specific opportunities for them, and for those companies
with which they do business."

Companies displaying vehicles and boats in the Performance Marine Pavilion can
staff their display and distribute literature, a departure from the SEMA Show
general project vehicle policy.

An F-250 Super Duty truck towing a matching 24-foot boat was the first auto/marine
combo to apply for Performance Marine space. The truck and boat are featured on the
cover of the November issue of Truckin' magazine.

"Response to this new pavilion has been phenomenal," MacGillivray said. "My phone
has rung constantly, and the e-mail inquiries have made continual pinging noises in
my office. We're delighted that our entry-level program to give more visibility to
these opportunities for new business has received such a positive response."

MacGillivray said that the effort on behalf of the performance marine segment is
similar to the cross-marketing thrust of the SEMA Show Mobile Electronics section.
"With both sections, we see bi-directional opportunities. Our conventional
automotive buyers can learn about doing marine and mobile electronics business. The
marine and mobile electronics people can learn about automotive parts and
accessories which could fit into their business."

The 2002 SEMA Show will be held from Tuesday, Nov. 5 - Friday, Nov. 8, in the Las
Vegas Convention Center. Show hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday,
and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. SEMA's Innovations Day is Monday, Nov. 4, preceding
the show.

This year's SEMA Show will have ten sections for the convenience of buyers. The
sections are named: International Tire Expo; Mobile Electronics & Technology;
Racing & Performance; Restoration Marketplace; Restyling & Accessories Center;
Street Rod Alley; Trucks, SUVs, Truck Caps & Accessories; Wheels & Performance
Tires; (the all-new) Performance Marine Pavilion; and General. Icons for each of
the sections will help direct buyers and exhibiting personnel through the Show.
