Suzuki: Zero Down Payment, Zero Percent Finance Offer and 7-Year/100,000-Mile Powertrain Limited Warranty- Sounds Good

    BREA, Calif.--July 31, 2002--

American Suzuki Provides Smart Buy for Savvy Customers with a Zero
Down Payment, Zero Percent Finance Offer and 7-Year/100,000-Mile
    Powertrain Limited Warranty

American Suzuki Motor Corp. (ASMC) today announced it will start its "Zero, Zero & 7" program -- a zero down payment, zero percent financing offer combined with a new 7-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty effective Aug. 1, 2002.
The "Zero, Zero" finance offer is the best in the industry offering zero down payment, zero percent financing up to five years on all Suzuki 2002/2003 models. The 7-year/100,000-mile warranty is the industry's best with fully transferable coverage to succeeding owners with no deductibles.
The warranty coverage is seven years or 100,000 miles -- whichever comes first -- providing Suzuki owners more than 14,000 miles of coverage per year. Suzuki's warranty has no deductibles, and most importantly, is transferable from owner-to-owner, which boosts resale and trade-in values.
"Suzuki provides a smart buy for savvy customers," said American Suzuki President Rick Suzuki. "Some automakers provide good finance offers and others offer good warranties, but Suzuki offers smart customers both a great finance offer and a solid warranty. The best part about Suzuki's warranty program is that it's transferable, which means our buyers can enjoy better resale value. This underscores the corporation's confidence in our vehicles' quality."
The new program is offered on all 2002 and 2003 Suzuki models, including the Suzuki XL-7, Grand Vitara and Vitara sport-utility vehicles, Aerio, Aerio SX and Esteem car models.
"'Zero, Zero & 7' program shows Suzuki's direction to provide smart customers with the best value," Suzuki affirmed. "Not only in our finance offer and warranty programs, but also with our product."
Introduced by ASMC in March, the trend-setting sport crossover Aerio SX offers sportiness, room, power and personality for a starting price under $15,000. It has a long list of standard equipment including air conditioning, six-speaker AM/FM stereo with in-dash CD, power windows and mirrors, rear-window defroster, split folding rear seats and aluminum alloy wheels.
ASMC also sells the XL-7, a right-sized, versatile sport-utility vehicle with available seven-passenger seating and a long list of standard equipment. The XL-7 starts at under $20,000.

    Open Road Promise Services

The 7-year/100,000-mile warranty is part of Suzuki's "Open Road Promise," a new three-tiered program designed to strengthen Suzuki's customer satisfaction and bolster consumer confidence in the Suzuki line. Other "Open Road Promise" elements include the 24-hour, 365-a-day Roadside Assistance Program and the Warranty Repair Courtesy Vehicle Program which provides a courtesy rental vehicle through Enterprise-Rent-A-Car.
