The 2003 Infiniti Lineup - Charting the Changes

Infiniti's accelerated pace of new product introductions, which kicked off last year with the all-new 2002 Q45 and refined, more powerful 2002 I35, continues at full speed in the 2003 model year. Following the spring debut of the stunning new G35 sport sedan will be the new M45 performance sedan in early October and the G35 sport coupe in November. And, if that's not enough, the dynamic FX45 luxury crossover vehicle is scheduled to go on sale in early 2003.

Other 2003 model year highlights include available satellite radio on all Infiniti vehicles except QX4, improved acceleration feel and new heating and cooling front seats for the Q45 Premium model, the addition of a new 6-speed manual transmission for the G35 sport sedan, and standard 17-inch wheels and tires and leather/wood steering wheel for the QX4.

Following is an overview of Infiniti Division products for the 2003 model year:

M45 Performance Sedan

As the latest addition to the Infiniti lineup of powerful front-engine, rear-wheel drive sedans, the new M45 performance sedan is positioned between the flagship Q45 - with which it shares many major drivetrain components - and the newly introduced G35 sport sedan. The M45 not only delivers an astonishing driving experience from its advanced 340-horsepower V8 engine and 4-wheel independent suspension, it also offers a level of attributes and features not found in similarly priced 6-cylinder equipped competitive models. The M45 will be available in October as a 2003 model.

G35 Sport Coupe

Designed from the ground up on the racing-inspired FM (Front Mid-ship) platform, the all-new 2003 Infiniti G35 sport coupe offers all of the advanced technology, leading-edge design and luxury amenities of the recently introduced Infiniti G35 sport sedan but in a stylish, two-door 2+2 body. The G35 sport coupe features a long list of standard performance features, including a 275-plus horsepower 3.5-liter DOHC V6 mated to a choice of a 6-speed manual transmission or 5-speed electronically controlled automatic with manual shift mode. Inside, the G35 sport coupe offers the expected levels of Infiniti premium available amenities, ranging from ultra soft leather seating surfaces and Bose® premium audio system to a DVD-type Infiniti Navigation System and much more. The Infiniti G35 sport coupe is scheduled to go on sale in November 2002.

G35 Sport Sedan

Infiniti's new G35 burst onto the sport sedan scene in March 2002 as a 2003 model. It combines leading-edge design and technology, driver-oriented performance and a high level of luxury. The G35 features a standard 260-horsepower 3.5-liter V6, 5-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode, 4-wheel independent multi-link suspension and rear-wheel drive. It also offers exceptional interior roominess, aggressive aerodynamic styling and a long list of luxury amenities.

Running changes to the 2003 G35 sport sedan include: · The addition of a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission (February availability) · Standard xenon headlights on Leather Luxury model · Addition of sunroof to Premium Package · Available satellite radio (choice of XM or Sirius)

Q45 Performance Luxury Sedan

The third generation Q45 flagship sedan was introduced as an all-new model for the 2002 model year. For 2003, the Q45 receives a number of enhancements, starting with a 3.133:1 final drive gear ratio for better acceleration feel, availability of satellite radio (standard on Premium Package), revised grille, headlight and rear end finisher appearance, three new exterior colors and climate controlled seats for driver and front passenger (Premium Package). Heated front seats and full-size spare are now standard on Q45. New Journey Package (available on Luxury model) includes navigation, sunshades, Intelligent Cruise Control and run flat tires.

Enhancements to the 2003 Q45 include: · New higher numerical final drive gear ratio (3.133:1) · Engine certified as LEV · Revised grille, headlight and rear end finisher · New trunk auto close (pull down) function · Standard electronic compass in rearview mirror · Puddle lights added to underside of outside mirrors · CD changer relocated from glove box to center cluster (changed to 6-disc slot-type CD changer), cassette deck moved to glove box · Embroidered Infiniti logos added to front seat backs, new visor extenders · New rear seat center head restraint with two-way manual adjustment · Premium Package now includes climate controlled seats for driver and front passenger with cooling and heating functions, satellite radio (choice of XM or Sirius), full auto open/close trunk function (delayed availability) and titanium color 18-inch wheels (chrome wheels also available with Premium Package) · Three new exterior colors - Emerald Mist, Brilliant Silver and Golden Sand

I35 Luxury Performance Sedan

The I35 was introduced as a new model for the 2002 model year (replacing the previous I30) with changes including a new 255-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine, refined front and rear styling and Sojourner leather-appointed seats. For the 2003 model year, the I35 receives minor refinements, along with satellite radio compatibility.

Enhancements to the 2003 I35 include: · Embroidered Infiniti logo on front seat backs (replacing embossed logo) · Expanded wood tone trim on the center console · One new exterior color - Diamond Graphite

QX4 Luxury SUV

The 2003 QX4 receives only packaging enhancements for 2003, including standard 17-inch wheels and tires and leather/wood steering wheel. The QX4 continues to be available in one fully equipped model in 2WD or 4WD with Infiniti’s advanced All-mode 4WD® system.

Enhancements to the 2003 QX4 include: · The contents of the previous Premium Package are now standard on the 2003 QX4: 17-inch wheels and tires, leather/genuine wood steering wheel, driver's side memory seat, steering wheel audio control switches · Standard LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tether for CHildren) system · One new exterior color - Diamond Graphite

2003 and Beyond

Look for these future Infiniti products: · FX45 Luxury Crossover Vehicle - combining sports car performance with SUV utility and an advanced all-wheel drive system, the Infiniti FX45 will be available with an estimated 300-plus horsepower 4.5-liter V8 based on the class-leading Q45 powerplant · Full-size luxury sport utility vehicle - to be built in Canton, Mississippi
