AMA: Carmichael Makes It 12 In A Row!

Honda Racing's Ricky Carmichael continues to dominate the 250cc AMA/ U.S.
Motocross Championship. Carmichael was perfect at Round 6 in Buchanan, MI
and easily scored a 1-1 for a 1st overall. Carmichael now owns the record
for most consecutive moto wins to start a 250 National Motocross season
with 12 straight and he leads the points chase by 77 points.


Fellow Honda Red Rider Nathan Ramsey made a strong showing in his comeback
race by finishing 2nd overall with a 5-2 score. N8-Dawg had a horrendous
crash at Round 1 in Glen Helen and has been out of action for most of the
outdoor motocross season. A 2nd place finish for his debut return shows his
dedication to come back strong!


Local boy Mike LaRocco didn't disappoint his Red Bud fans. In the second
moto of the day LaRocco got off to a great start but crashed early. He
worked his way back up to 3rd for a 5th place overall on the day. LaRocco
is campaigning a Amsoil/Dr. Marten's Honda CRF450R.


Honda Racing's Sebastien Tortelli finished the day in 10th place with a
6-19 score.


In the highly competitive 125cc class, Amsoil / Dr. Marten's / Honda
Racing's Travis Preston finished 9th overall with a score of 11-10 for the
day. Honda Racing's Ernesto Fonseca finished 11th with a score of 19-4.
