Implementation of the EU End-of-Life Vehicle Directive at DaimlerChrysler

Stuttgart, 07/01/2002 - On July 1, 2002 the End-of-Life Vehicle Act will come into force in Germany in response to the corresponding EU directive. This directive requires that all manufacturers who sell cars in Europe take back their end-of-life vehicles free of charge and dispose of them in an environment-friendly manner. DaimlerChrysler is well-prepared for this task, as it offers customers in Germany a comprehensive network of around 200 vehicle return and disposal centers.
