Record Breaking June Sales for Nissan Canada and Luxury Division, Infiniti

MISSISSAUGA, ON, July 3 /CNW/ - Nissan Canada Inc. and its luxury division, Infiniti, reported record sales for the month of June. Combined June sales for Nissan and Infiniti totaled 6,035 units sold (a 29.3% increase over June 2001). Infiniti sales for June 2002 totaled 630 units sold (a 100% increase versus June 2001) - making this the best June on record.

Contributing to this, is the success of the newly launched all-new 2003 Infiniti G35 sport sedan. Since G35 was introduced in showrooms across Canada in March of this year, Infiniti has reported record monthly sales. Sales of G35 for the month of June totaled 432 units (up 6.4 % from May of this year).

Nissan Canada also celebrates record monthly sales - with 5,405 units sold in the month of June (a 32.6 % increase versus June 2001). Contributing to this success:

Altima, Nissan's award winning family sedan (voted "Car of The Year" by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada), reported record breaking sales for the month of June with 1,623 units sold (a 213% increase vs. June 2001).

Sentra, Nissan's entry level sedan, celebrated the best June on record with 2,107 units sold (a 3.9% increase from the previous June).

Maxima, Nissan's flagship sedan, continued strong selling 614 units in June 2002 (a 12.7% increase versus June 2001).

Xterra, Nissan's youthful SUV, also reported record-breaking sales for the month of June with 349 units sold (a 37.4% increase versus June 2001).
