Infiniti Reports June Sales Sales Up 23.2 Percent Versus Last Year

GARDENA, Calif., July 2 -- Infiniti, the luxury division of Nissan North America, Inc., today reported sales of 6,971 units, a 23.2 percent increase versus last year.

A key contributor to this increase was the new 2003 G35 sport sedan, which reported sales of 3,044 units.

Rounding out the Infiniti lineup, I35 posted sales of 1,911 units, QX4 posted sales of 1,281 units, G20 posted sales of 503 units and Q45 posted sales of 232 units. Please see the sales chart on the following page for more details.

While Infiniti sales are increasing, incentive spending is decreasing. Infiniti's incentive spending is down 34 percent from last year. Nissan's combined U.S. sales for June, including Nissan and Infiniti divisions, totaled 61,332 units, accounting for a slight decrease of 0.1 percent versus June of last year.
