As Tire Pressure Decreases to Dangerous Lows, Demand for New Tire Safety Product Increases

SAN CLEMENTE, Calif.--June 24, 2002--Tire Alert, a new tire safety product that automatically monitors tire pressure, is receiving increased demand as motorists and safety experts are becoming progressively more aware of the need for adequate tire safety and maintenance.
By simply replacing the original tire valve caps with Tire Alert, the motorist can now easily monitor pressure with a quick glance. The pressure indicator remains all green when pressure is satisfactory, yellow when the pressure is low and red when the pressure is extremely low. By monitoring tire pressure, the motorist reduces the risk of tire failure and blowouts due to under-inflated tires that may cause serious accidents.
After the recent recall of millions of Firestone tires, Americans are faced with a new concern over the necessity of proper tire maintenance, of which proper inflation plays a key roll.
"Motorists are only now becoming aware of how important tire inflation and maintenance can be due to recent events. Through the simple act of monitoring tire inflation it is possible to ensure safety as well as extend the life of your tires," stated Robert DePalma, president of DePalma Enterprises, a distributor of Tire Alert.
"With car manufacturers required to add air pressure sensing devices to cars in 2004, the Tire Alert will provide new safety measures to existing vehicles currently on the road," DePalma added.
Besides safety, maintaining proper tire air pressure offers additional benefits to the motorist as well. The Tire Alert helps to increase gas mileage, tire wear and handling of the vehicle. Accurate within 1 psi (pound per square inch) the Tire Alert is perfect for maintaining tire pressure in all automobiles, sport utility vehicles, trucks, boat trailers, motorcycles, mobile homes and campers.
Tire Alert will continue to be available to consumers this year in traditional retail, catalogs and electronic retail formats. For further information, contact DePalma toll free at 866/836-4427 or by e-mail at hiscbd@pacbell.net.
