"SHORT TRACK USA 2002 with Tony Modica" has turned 8 this week and grown
into Central Florida's most popular Racing Radio Talk Show. 
 
From its inception 8 years ago by Doug Auld, now owner/editor of
"Sprint Cars and Midgets" magizine, as a 30 min interview and infomation
forum. Short Track USA 2002 has grown into a two hour fan friendly
production of racing news, driver interviews, and LIVE call-in segments
that keep the novailist and die-hard race fan on top of the world of
stockcar racing. When Bill Green took Short Track USA into the two-hour
production it remains today, he focused on local racing and its many
donehome stars. Now in the hands of Tony Modica, an MRN regular, SHORT
TRACK USA 2002 has growen into a well rounded forum covering everything
from NASCAR to Go-Karts, Saturday Night Street Stocks to Winged
Sprints.
 
SHORT TRACK USA 2002 has it all and Salem Commuications knows it. The
directors of Salem Communications approuched Tony and Bill about
expanding the listenership in Central Florida by simulcasting SHORT
TRACK USA 2002 on two of it top central Florida stations. Now local
listeners within 100 miles can tuen in to SHORT TRACK USA 2002 on Sunday
Nights from 7-9PM on AM-570 or AM-910 on their radio dial. AM-570 WTBN
is 10,000 watts covering from Crystal River in the north, to Port
Charlotte in the south. While AM-910 WTWD in Plant City covers Polk
county plus south Orlando, Dade City, Zypherhills, and the interior of
Florida.
