Civic, Accord Models Top Site Popularity Rankings
IRVINE, Calif.--June 6, 2002--Leading a resurgence of consumer interest in passenger cars, Honda's Civic and Accord ranked first and second, respectively, among the top 50 new vehicle models attracting consumer interest last month on the Kelley Blue Book Web site (www.kbb.com).Passenger cars represented 48 percent of the top 50 new cars researched by shoppers in May on kbb.com, the nation's number one automotive information Web site. Import cars continued to dominate the list, outnumbering domestic car models 21 to 3, Kelley Blue Book reported.
Making the kbb.com top 50 list for the first time last month was the recently introduced MINI Cooper from BMW, which was 37th in popularity. The BMW 5-Series led the luxury car category.
In kbb.com non-passenger car categories, Chevrolet/GMC models finished first in pickup trucks, the Ford Explorer attracted the most interest among sport utility vehicles and the Honda Odyssey was tops among vans.
