The Chrome Top 10 rankings are compiled from vehicle configurations captured through Chrome's Web-based configuration and pricing tool, Chrome Carbook(TM), accessible from more than 1,500 Web sites. The information captured on Chrome's Web servers show which vehicle configurations consumers are considering, including the vehicle's make, model, transmission, option and color preferences.
This real-time consumer demand information enables auto manufacturers to improve visibility throughout their marketing, production and planning departments. By seeing which vehicles consumers are considering, and where those consumers are located, they can better target customers and plan production accordingly. Ultimately, it's a win-win for both manufacturers and consumers.
