Chrysler Group Extends 7/100 and National Minivan Sale

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., May 31 Chrysler Group announced today the extension of two popular consumer programs through the Independence Day holiday weekend.

The first -- Chrysler Group's National Minivan Sales Event -- will be extended through July 8, 2002. It offers consumers up to $2,500 in incentives on all Chrysler and Dodge minivans, excluding e-models (eC, eX and eL), and APR financing as low as 0.0 percent.

"We've got minivan momentum," said Gary Dilts, DaimlerChrysler Corp. Senior Vice President - Sales. "We're closing in on the sale of our 10 millionth minivan, we've gained a full percentage point of minivan market share in the past year and our minivans have surpassed traditional domestics and Honda in the most recent J.D. Power IQS ranking."

Dodge and Chrysler minivans claimed a 25 percent increase in overall quality in the J.D. Power study.

Chrysler Group's powertrain protection pledge also has been extended, which provides at no charge seven-year/100,000-mile powertrain coverage on all new 2001 and 2002 Chrysler, Jeep® or Dodge vehicles purchased through July 8.

"Our customers recognize tremendous value, and take our powertrain pledge into consideration when they buy their new car, truck, SUV or minivan," said Jim Schroer, DaimlerChrysler Corp. Executive Vice President - Global Sales and Marketing. "This is our way of saying we stand behind the quality of our vehicles. It's an industry-leading program that dealers love, and one that sets us apart from the competition."
