Injury Sciences Signs Strategic Relationship With Crash Test Pioneer

SAN ANTONIO--May 20, 2002--Injury Sciences LLC today announced the signing of a strategic relationship with Biomechanical Research and Testing LLC (BRT) of Long Beach, Calif.
The relationship provides Injury Sciences with a rich source of historical data and ongoing research into the dynamics of automobile collisions and the implications of these collisions to occupants. In addition, BRT will provide development assistance and subject matter expertise in the future development of Injury Sciences engineering-based technologies for claims professionals.
Tom Szabo, co-founder of BRT, comments, "Injury Sciences' technology has been thoughtfully developed to employ the analytical methods commonly used by experts in the field and make these same methods available to non-experts."
"We are excited about the opportunity to make contributions to this unique technology, and at the same time, advance the science of accident and injury causation," adds Jud Welcher, co-founder of BRT.
BRT's contributions under this relationship will advance Injury Sciences' position as the only company providing engineering-based claim technology developed and supported by internationally recognized experts. BRT's extensive library of research will facilitate new product development as well as enhance WrExpert, Injury Sciences' flagship technology.
Scott Palmer, President and CEO of Injury Sciences, states, "We are extremely excited about this relationship because Tom and Jud are very well published and highly respected researchers in the fields of accident reconstruction and injury causation. Forensic experts and researchers throughout the U.S frequently cite their work."
