10,000 Spectators Expected at Annual Bellflower Car Show

    BELLFLOWER, Calif.--May 16, 2002--

Saturday, June 1st from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. on the Boulevard

    The City of Bellflower proudly presents the Fourth Annual Bellflower Car Show on Saturday, June 1st from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. along Bellflower Boulevard in the historic Downtown area. Collectors will display their customs, classics, street rods, trucks and Harley Davidson motorcycles. The event also features music, food, raffles and prizes.
    One of the City's most popular events, the car show is expected to attract a record crowd in excess of 10,000 according to organizers.
    "People come from all over the southland to participate in this event," said Kathleen Chambers, one of the event's planners. "We're expecting one of our biggest crowds ever."
    Collectors who wish to exhibit their autos may register on the day of the event for a fee of $10, which covers admittance and a dash board plaque. Prizes will be awarded to the top collector vehicles in several categories. The event is free and open to the public.
