Southwestern Motorists May Get Hosed By New Fuel

CHICAGO, May 14 -- You get what you pay for.

Not necessarily.

At least that's what California, Nevada and Arizona motorists may be saying as they fill up with a new "premium" gasoline mixture that's been lowered from 93 to 91 octane [(R+M)/2]. These three southwestern states were recently given the green light to make the change at the pump and motorists throughout the region will see the effects immediately.

Drivers of cars and trucks designed for the higher octane fuel could feel the difference with knocking engines and less power. Towing and passing ability, especially at elevated altitudes, will be diminished and engine wear could increase.

Fortunately, there's a new product to help motorists regain that lost power: Super 104+ Octane Boost® made by Gold Eagle® Co.

New Super 104+ Octane Boost offers several key improvements over other octane enhancers. First, it uses a new compound which actually removes deposits instead of just modifying them, cleaning the entire fuel system -- including injectors and intake valves. Second, new Super 104+ Octane Boost employs a synthetic, "lubricity" additive which bonds to the metal surfaces reducing friction between internal moving parts. Finally, the new formula contains a significantly higher amount of a powerful octane/combustion catalyst to burn fuel more efficiently.

The improvements to Super 104+ Octane Boost mean better acceleration, restored horsepower, reduced knocks and pings, and improved gas mileage -- all without harming catalytic converters or oxygen sensors. Through regular use of Super 104+ Octane Boost, motorists will feel more power from their engines, even with the reduced octane gasoline.

This new product is also available in regular strength. 104+ Octane Boost provides more power on the freeway. Super 104+ Octane Boost is recommended for more power off the road and on the track, where vehicles are pushed harder and need the "lubricity" additive to protect against engine wear. Both products come in convenient, 16-ounce plastic bottles with molded finger grips and a long neck for easy pouring into gas tanks without a funnel or messy cleanup. And they contain no harmful MMT.
