Chrysler Group Extends Powertrain Protection Pledge

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., March 28 - Chrysler Group announced today the extension of its powertrain protection pledge, which provides -- at no charge -- seven-year/100,000-mile powertrain coverage on any new 2001 and 2002 Chrysler, Jeep® or Dodge vehicle purchased through May 31, 2002.

``The powertrain protection pledge has been an effective tool in generating more showroom traffic and raising closing ratios,'' said Jim Schroer, Executive Vice President - Global Sales and Marketing. ``Our customers tell us they are interested in more than just the 'deal of the day.' They want a product that is well-built and represents a good value. The powertrain protection pledge does just that.''
